I want to go a little retro for the first several posts. Since the primary purpose of this blog is to record our family history, I thought I'd properly record a few things from the last couple of months.

On April 26, 2010 this little beauty entered our lives:

Eloise Lucy Smith was born at 10:20pm, weighing in at 7.11 and 20 inches long.

The Inaugural Post

Since the arrival of our sweet Eloise I've felt a greater pull towards documenting the events of our little family. I'm mediocre, at best, at keeping a journal. And, although I'm doing my best to put together a baby book for her, it just isn't the proper venue for all the 'little' things I want to remember. I'm hoping that having a few of her loving admirers out there encouraging me to post will be the extra incentive I need to record all of the memories and organize all of the pictures we are accumulating. We'll see how it goes!
